We had accident with the car when my husband miscalculated the speed and bumped into the garage door. It didn't seem to be anything serious but when we pressed the garage door clicker to close the door, we heard some loud noises. They explained that small accidents like that may not inflict serious damages but until they checked the mechanism, they couldn't be sure about anything. They checked the system and told us that they could repair the damages but they had to replace the vertical tracks and some rollers. In fact, we had an argument about it since we trust this contractor for years and never had any complaints about their garage door service or prices. He insisted to call another company and he did. It took the technicians of the other company two days before they came to check the problem, gave us approximately the same price and told us that they could come for the replacement of components and garage door repairs a couple of days later. My husband agreed to that offer although I tried to persuade him otherwise. A couple of months later, the garage door became noisy and the problems began.

This time I didn't listen to him and called again our regular contractor to check the system again.

I had to admit of our decision to hire another company and to my amazement the technicians were not offended. They explained that the new garage door tracks and rollers were not of the greatest quality and started showing signs of wear already. They said that their company uses repair parts manufactured by top firms and that's why they can guarantee longevity.

So, to make a long story short we had to pay twice for the same repairs. My husband admitted his mistake and since the day that the technicians of this company replaced the tracks and the rollers, we had no other problems. As usual, it was proven one more time that you get what you pay for. The truth is that the second company never informed us that the garage door repair parts were of poorest quality and the technicians scheduled the service two days later. Perhaps this was our chance to appreciate more the great services of our regular contractor.
